Good news! Once again, Cordie has passed our annual external ISO 9001 Quality audit with flying colours!
Quality is one of the most important aspects of Cordie’s business and extremely close to our Directors’ hearts. Surprisingly, very few training providers are accredited to ISO 9001, which is the international standard for Quality Management Procedures. It’s possible that this is because of the rigorous requirements that impact upon all processes throughout the organisation.
We were first accredited in 2008 and have successfully been re-accredited every year since. More recently, Cordie upgraded to the 2015 standard for all of our training, education and eLearning services.
While there are certain specific procedural requirements for ISO 9001 (such as a Quality Policy, senior management mandate, a set of quality management procedures, an internal/external audit regime and so on) our Quality Director, Ian Thompson, believes it is a corporate mindset challenge. “Quality is not about checklists or compliance, it should be part of the DNA and culture of an organisation. At Cordie we are constantly striving to get it right from the customer’s perspective every single time. We will go out of our way to make sure each customer is fully satisfied, changing our processes if need be so that we can give an improved service.”
