Ofsted Inspection Update
Cordie is an independent learning provider regulated for our Government-funded apprenticeship provision by Ofsted, the UK Government regulator for standards in education.
When carrying out audit inspections, Ofsted inspectors place the needs of learners first. They act independently of Government and carry out their inspections on an evidence-led, transparent and accountable manner in line with the Education Inspection Framework.
Cordie had its most recent inspection in July 2024. The report is available directly from the Ofsted website, or you can download a copy here.
The judgement of “Good” in all areas of provision demonstrates the significant investment we have made in providing high quality learning for our apprentices. Here are some of the findings from this inspection:
“Apprentices develop the subject expertise and personal skills they need to be successful at work.
Leaders ensure that the content of the curriculum meets the different employment needs of the public and private sector employers they work with.
Trainers are subject specialists and have a high level of recent industry experience in procurement. Employers value the training apprentices receive and are confident that they develop the procurement knowledge and skills needed at work.
Trainers skilfully use learning activities that encourage apprentices to reflect and share their broader experiences from their varied workplaces.
Apprentices receive helpful guidance from trainers so that they know what they need to do to improve their work and how to achieve a distinction grade in the final assessment.
Leaders ensure that apprentices acquire valuable wider knowledge that helps to promote their personal development and develops their interests and talents.”
