Ofsted Inspection Update

Cordie is an independent learning provider regulated for our Government-funded apprenticeship provision by Ofsted, the UK Government regulator for standards in education.

When carrying out audit inspections, Ofsted inspectors place the needs of learners first. They act independently of Government and carry out their inspections on an evidence-led, transparent and accountable manner in line with the Education Inspection Framework.

Cordie had its first monitoring inspection in August 2023. The report is available directly from the Ofsted website, or you can download a copy here.

The judgement of “reasonable progress” on all three themes of the inspection demonstrates the significant investment we have made in providing high quality learning for our apprentices. Here are some of the findings from this inspection:

Leaders have selected and implemented an ambitious curriculum that helps apprentices to develop their careers and become innovative leaders in procurement and supply.
Apprentices benefit from well-planned training, regular reviews of their progress and arrangements for end-point assessment. As a result, apprentices quickly develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours, and almost all apprentices achieve their exams.
As a result, apprentices build their confidence, deepen their understanding and can use what they have previously learned in different contexts, thereby developing mastery.
