Once again, we are delighted to announce Cordie has been successful in winning another procurement apprenticeship tender!
West Berkshire District Council recently undertook a competitive bidding exercise to find a registered training provider of the Level 4 Commercial Apprenticeship in Procurement & Supply for new and existing members of its procurement and contracts team. Cordie was successful in its tender application and has been appointed as the Council’s supplier of choice.
The Cordie procurement apprenticeship programmes are innovative, ambitious and exciting learning programmes for procurement professionals. They require upto 24 months of intensive tri-partite working between the learner, their employer and Cordie as the the learning provider. Cordie offers a unique blend of virtual, face-to-face and eLearning training that systematically takes a learner through each stage of a professional commercial lifecycle. What’s more: the programme is fully funded by the Government for all levy-paying employers.
West Berkshire has stated: this apprenticeship programme will enable the work of procurement and supply professionals including the process of procurement, and buying goods and services; however, these roles can be much broader than just procurement. The roles can extend to a huge range of related commercial activity such as influencing policy, financial analysis, engaging in contract law, and developing strategy to deliver services. The variety of goods and services that procurement professionals within West Berkshire District Council are responsible for is vast: goods could range from buying a plane to negotiating new stationery supply. Securing services could include: finding new and innovative IT systems, outsourcing translation services or closing a deal on a construction project for a new building.
Encompassing the entire procurement cycle, achieving the Level 4 Commercial Apprenticeship in Procurement and Supply will enable an individual to use their breadth and depth of experience to position themselves as a fully effective commercially skilled professional with transferable skills and career options that span the public, private and charitable sectors. This will be supported by the attainment of a Level 4 Diploma with the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
Do get in touch if you would like to find out more about how you and your employer can access these funded learning programmes. We’d love to hear from you!
