Cordie learners can sign-up here on our website and purchase coupons for the additional uplift fee that CIPS charges for these exams. This makes it a load easier than going through the usual long-winded invoicing route!
Why “remote invigilation”?
The advantage of these exams is that you are the master of your own destiny in terms of where you take the exam. Using the technology provided by CIPS, you allow remote software to take access of your PC and your mobile phone. This locks down access to any other part of your devices, and also allows the invigilator to take control of your webcam.
In short, the exam invigilator can see everything you are doing and so you are monitored effectively throughout the exam, therefore maintaining integrity within the exam assessment process.
This means no travel to/from an exam centre and you can control the environment within which you are sitting your own exam.
Why an uplift fee?
CIPS charges more money for you to host the exam yourself, rather than attending one of their exam centres. The fee reflects the additional costs they claim that remote invigilation costs them.
Unfortunately, accredited providers such as Cordie are therefore required to pass on this additional cost to anyone requesting this preferred service.
The good news is that we pass this on “at cost” without any additional management charges or service fees. It has always been our policy never to make any profit out of our learners from undertaking their exam assessments.
