Good news… CIPS has just updated the index pages for its Level 4 study guides to make searching and referencing learning content a lot easier. You can access these updates in the Workshop Materials section of our learning portal for each of the Level 4 study modules.
An index is a useful listing of all key content within any study guide together with the appropriate page references. This is extremely helpful for anyone studying the CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement & Supply as it makes for an easy “look up” tool.
Cordie recommends the CIPS study guides to be used as “dip-in / dip-out” resources to supplement your learning.

CIPS does not author these study guides (…this is outsourced to freelancers)
CIPS does not base its exam questions on the content of the study guides (…the questions are based on the syllabus).
It’s for this reason there are occasional technical errors in the CIPS study guides, as we have mentioned elsewhere. Human error occurs everywhere, including CIPS, and occasionally you’ll find incorrect references such as the UK being part of the EU, out-of-date legislation being referenced or incorrect financial data.
Wherever possible, our tutors will try to highlight these pitfalls and steer you to accurate learning. Just like any other “guide” the CIPS study guides should not be considered to be text books nor assessment materials, they’re just a helpful guide. They contain a wealth of material that is related to the learning content of each syllabus and give you additional content to help read around each subject. Cordie wholeheartedly endorses these guides as a useful resource to pep up your learning.
The release of the revised Index Pages now gives you a more accurate search tool for the content of the study guides that were published last year - and we have provided a downloadable copy of these for you within our Workshop Materials section of our learning portal.
