Studying and passing exams for your CIPS professional qualifications can be hard! We know this from our own personal experience, as well as working with hundreds of learners across the world each year. That’s why we’ve developed this blog - to give you hints, tips and helpful stories to support your learning journey. Better than that, why don’t you just get in touch to see if there is anything specific we can do to support your CIPS studies?
My name is Ian Thompson. I am one of the founding directors of Cordie and, among other qualifications, I was awarded my FCIPS fellowship back in 2011. I first started working with CIPS when I was recruited as an Examiner back in 2004. Since then I have marked thousands of exam scripts, written countless exam questions and been involved in advising and supporting CIPS through various syllabus reviews and amendments. I now spent a significant proportion of my time helping students of the CIPS qualifications prepare for their exams - and pass!
In this blog, I use my experience to offer my advice on how to get the best from your studies and to get the best in your exams.
Together, we will explore the CIPS qualifications, the learning content within their syllabuses, even the integrity of the CIPS study guides and the exams. No stone is left unturned and you will see that I am not afraid to challenge poor practice or provide robust guidance.
The only caveat I place on this blog content is to say that these comments and opinions represent my personal views, rather than any offer of professional advice from Cordie Ltd. I make every effort to be accurate at the time of writing, but if you have any queries or counterviews then do please get in touch. I sincerely hope you find these posts helpful.
In the meantime, good luck with your CIPS studies. I hope you enjoy the learning experience and you find it fruitful in your career!
