We’re excited to announce another tender success last week with Cordie being awarded the UK Government contract to deliver the Level 4 Commercial Apprenticeship in Procurement & Supply for the next 2-3 years.
This is a major apprenticeship contract on behalf of the whole Central Government and includes all of the major governmental departments. Arguably it is the largest single procurement apprenticeship contract in the UK.
Learners will enrol on an exciting and ambitious 24-month programme where they are immersed in a wide range of knowledge, skills and behaviours relevant for modern procurement practice, all contextualised to a public sector operating environment. Our curriculum includes the study requirements for the CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement & Supply, but it is also considerably broader than this. Learners will receive a wide range of additional information, advice and guidance about succeeding in a procurement career and building a portfolio of effective employment capabilities in the civil service.
One of the strongest aspects of our tender was the commitment Cordie gave to delivering social value throughout the life of the contract. This is not just to the learners themselves, but to a wider constituency of line managers and the supply chain, helping to deliver social and economic benefits for public expenditure.
Once the formal studies have been concluded and all the required knowledge, skills and behaviours have been evidence, learners will engage in a practical work-based project as part of their end-point assessment. Our qualified skills coaches help to coach and mentor learners through this process, which includes preparing a project report and presenting to an independent assessment panel.
Cordie’s ambition is to be: “The No. 1 Procurement Apprenticeship Provider in the UK” and this contract certainly contributes towards this goal. Do get in touch to find out more about how we can support you through your procurement qualifications or if you want to know more about any of our apprenticeship programmes.
