We’ve always gone out of our way to create an open, fair and transparent working culture throughout Cordie. Integrity and good business ethics are at the core of our business values, which is why today we are launching our new Whistleblowing Policy.
What is whistleblowing?
Whistleblowing provides the opportunity for Cordie staff, customers, learners and other stakeholders to raise concerns about our day-to-day operational practices. Concerns can be raised anonymously in order to protect the identity of the whistleblower. Whistleblowing allows us to focus on any areas of our business that are in need of improvement.
What does the Cordie Whistleblowing Policy cover?
The aim of the policy is to cover areas of business practice that are widely considered to be “wrong” on moral, legal or ethical grounds. It includes important areas such as: unlawful or unethical activities, breaches of policy, inappropriate conduct (such as abuse or discrimination) and misappropriation of company funds.
One important area for learners are the areas of maladministration and malpractice in exam assessment processing. This complements our Maladministration and Malpractice Policy.
Concerns relating to the safety or well-being of people are also actively encouraged in line with our Safeguarding Policy.
