We are all now increasingly aware of the need for good mental health – both at work and outside in our personal lives. Here at Cordie we have been actively celebrating Mental Health Awareness Week, while also raising money for local charity: Dorset Mind.
It’s been a busy week for Al O’Reilly. Not only is Al our CIPS Exam Centre Manager, but he also relishes the additional responsibilities of being Cordie’s Mental Health Coordinator. This week, as well as being one of the busy CIPS exam weeks, we have been promoting awareness of good mental health whilst also supporting the work of Dorset Mind.
Dorset Mind is a local charity that educates, challenges mental health stigma and inequality, and promotes recovery by empowering individuals to develop resilience. They deliver educational wellbeing programmes for schools and workplaces, as well as offering support groups, counselling and befriending service to help people of all ages to regain social skills.
Cordie now has two fully qualified Mental Health First Aiders, as well as a range of resources to help learners with their wellbeing while studying with us. Be sure to ask us for more information on how we can help, or just pop in for a chat if you are passing. We would love to see you!
