Category Management is an essential skill for anyone wanting to manage their third party expenditure and develop longer-term supply chain strategies for success. Applied correctly, it can unlock significant value for organisations in any business sector.
We are excited to announce the release of two interactive Category Management eLearning modules that explore the principles and processes of Category Management and how it applies practically to organisational spend. Each module takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and can be viewed responsively on any modern device.
The first module introduces the principles and concept of Category Management by looking at how it can be applied practically to almost any organisation. The emphasis is on how Category Management delivers ‘breakthrough’ value for the business. The second module takes a deeper examination of the practical activities involved in a typical Category Management process. Both modules complement our popular publication: The Category Management Handbook (published by Routledge, 2018) and the re-usable work templates within this book.
Cordie eLearning developer Jake Adams said: “I am really proud of these two eLearning modules. They bring the concept of Category Management alive to practitioners by using interactive media, practical case studies and some great graphics. For these modules, we took the concepts of The Category Management Handbook and added animation to help explain the practicalities to people outside of the procurement profession. I think the result really speaks for itself.”
